My personality..

I’m a Choleric Sanguine. Here are my strengths as a Choleric, and as a Sanguine. My weaknesses as a Choleric and as a Sanguine.

Overall:
Melancholy:6
Phlegmatic:7
Sanguine:13
Choleric:14

Strengths:
Melancholy:2
Phlegmatic:2
Sanguine:7
Choleric:9

Weakneses:
Melancholy:4
Phlegmatic:5
Sanguine:6
Choleric:5

Was a very hard… test to do. Wasn’t able to … distinguish the answers in some of the questions, in terms of which I more often AM. Well, I guess it means whatever it means. Hehe. Would anyone want to evaluate me, through this … result? I kinda expected this outcome from the test, after finding out a bit of the 4 temperaments. Hehe. Guess I know myself well.

David[hmm]

PS: The test was done here.

Hmm, one of the choleric’s weakness is - Comes on too strong ;b

I’m more sanguine than choleric. Too bad they don’t hv a definition for the combination of those two personalities.

Go read Florence Littauer’s book regarding temperaments, its pretty light. If you want something really in-depth, try Tim LaHaye’s “Why You Act the Way You Do”, available at all good Christian bookstores or MPH :)

I envy cholerics!! They get things done no matter the cost :( My lazy ass is a bane to me

Hmm.. but I’ve already taken the test. I kinda know why I act the way I act. Would reading those books help even more?

So you know how to deal with people of OTHER temperaments.

The world doesn’t revolve around you, young padawan ;)

    Yes Master.

Hmm… maybe. Sigh. I was kinda happy being myself. Hahaha. Will try and pick up one of TimLahaye’s books. Gonna check with my youth leaders if they have a book of his.

    Hehe :P

Well Cholerics tend to rub Phlegs the wrong way because Phlegs are sensitive deep down inside. Anyhows Paul most prolly was like you, being a Choleric and he had to have some sense of Sanguine in him to speak to so many people. Maybe in a few years’ time you’ll receive God’s calling to be Malaysia’s version of Paul? That’d be cool :)

Abraham was a Phleg (kiasi), Moses was Melancholic while Peter was Sanguine. Noticed that Peter was the disciple who spoke the most and first most of the time…haha!

Hmm… I think I saw that book on the shelves of Salvation, here in Cheras. The one where they evaluated the characters in the Bible, like the ones you just mentioned. Must read one of his books over the holidays that’s coming up.

PS: I’ll be back in Penang on the 20th, unless something else comes up.

I wonder what Jesus’ temperaments are. Hmmmm….He said He will make us more like Him. So in Christ people change. Weakness will turn into strengths and strengths may become stronger by the power of His Spirit. I wouldn’t put too much faith on your current temperament stats:p

Christ prolly had the best of all 4 strengths, minus the weaknesses. We can’t expect anything less other than perfection could we? ;)

After knowing our temperaments and that of others, we know how to utilise our strengths and minimise our weaknesses, as well as getting along with others better. For example, most politicians are sanguines but they need cholerics or melanchoics as their support team to run things in the background, while the spouse is most probably phlegmatic. I find that most cholerics enjoy the presence of a phleg when it comes to marriage :)

All in all we still depend on Christ to change us to be more like him, but knowing our temperament(s) does help. Just my 2 cents’ worth! :)

See you on the 20th David!

Hey Pastor G! Nice to have you dropping by here. Didn’t get the UX50 review out. Sorry. Not really something that would be really beneficial, so didn’t get down to doing it.

Hey, I’ve never considered what kinda person Jesus would be. Could it be that Jesus was all that, minus the negatives? Yeah, Jesus was perfect.. but is it possible for all of the temperaments to exist in one person? Hmm.. just thinking about this issue just gives me a feeling that it’s too categorized. I don’t like that feeling though. d:/

Thinking too much about how to .. handle people, according to a set of rules [ in this case, the ... temperaments ] just doesn’t appeal to me. I have always dealt with people however I have felt and led by the Spirit. I mean, if you actually have learnt all there is to learn about dealing with these kinda people, wouldn’t you be too wary when dealing with people? That doesn’t allow human mistakes. Which … hmm… OH DILEMMA.

I guess you’re right, Pastor G. There’s no point placing so much faith in my current temperament. It might change too, right? I’ve always lived with the principle of moderation.

    Do everything in moderation.

Edwin, there’s the … temperament match-making thing too, huh? Hmm.. the scope is getting wider. No wonder books have been written on this issue. Kinda sad to say though, but right now I’m kinda tired of books governing my life. THe only book that should be governing my life is the Bible.. but other books sometimes place unnecessary boundaries on my life. I could be inmature in saying so, but yeah.. maybe something in the future could change me. Hehe.

    David[over and out!]

    EDIT : replaced match-matching with match-making.
