I had no recollection of it.
Today was the first time I bummed in a long while. Like, really bummed. Walked around aimlessly, strolled everywhere my two feet could take me, looked at everything that caught my two eyeballs.
Well, first half of the day didn’t involve bumming at all. I had to rush the printing of the CF bookmarks, aligning them and all. That was a stressful time, as I wanted to get it done [and it was expected to, by the relevant authorities] in the morning. I was also at the same time making some changes and planned to finish uploading, setting up and embedding Gallery2 into the GTYAC.COM website which I am working on right now. I ran into some problems, and one word of advice when you select an operating system for your hosting: NEVER EVER go with WINDOWS. It’s like a fork stuck in the rud. [-greenday]
I got out of the house, handed the documents up to the relevant authorities who after what I’ve done for them, had the nerve to demand a dance from me!! How dare they! Just kidding. I went off to take lunch, park my car at the LRT station and made my way to Puduraya to get some bus tickets back to Penang. VictorNg’s coming up with me to meet his dream girl. Hmm.. I think. Whooops, did I just say that? Awww.
After hunting for and spending some time at the famous music shop Woh Fatt at Kotaraya, I decided to take a walk on Petaling Street, when I thought of YinSoon who’s college was nearby. It was tea time, so we had pan meen and some hamm cheem paeng. We caught up a bit and realized the truth about our shared sentiments regarding our cell groups. Told him that I’ve finished and going to Sabah for a holiday. We’ll meet then.
Since I was in the area, I thought I’d drop by the guitar shop at Times Square to see if they had any new Taylor guitars on display. Indeed, they did. I spent about 30 minutes .. just testing all of them, even the Big Baby Taylor. Was fun. Spoke a bit to the friendly guy who we met the first time Andrew and I went to the shop and asked him if there was anything worth seeing at Times Square. He couldn’t really provide any indication of anything good, really. So I decided to walk around and see it for myself if his point was true.
And I did. Most of the part. I’d name three shops beside the guitar shop that I walked into that caught my attention, knew was worthwhile checking out, and would benefit me in some way. First was this gift shop where I bought this cute little thing.

I just knew I had to buy it for Jo. It’s so cute, don’t ya think? It’s a little magnetic thing, and it’s soft and nice to hold!
Second was Borders Bookstore. Man it was huge. I can’t remember the last time I walked into a bookstore. Really. Hmm.. Anyhow, that’s beside’s the point. So, being a true blue Malaysian, I picked up a book and sat on one of them couches and read away. Spent about an hour there too. Finished looking through some books, even a The Essential Calvin and Hobbes comic book. Comfy seats, by the way. Walked down to the next floor and found another interesting book. The title was .. I can’t remember. Seriously. I mean, I can’t remember the title of the book. Hahaha.
Then I turned to the back and there was Starbucks, right inside Borders. That sparked the temptation to splurge on expensive crushed ice. I walked down to the Starbucks near the entrance, which now would serve to be an exit. I saw a poster that promoted the new chocolate mocha frappuccino and I thought I’d give it a try. Asked if it was any good, and he asked me if I was good with mocha. I told him that I preferred and usually took the chocolate frappuccino and he suddenly had this cheeky smile on his face. He then went, “I’ll get you the illegal one“. Whow, that sounded dodgy.
“I’ll make you a chocolate banana frappuccino.”
When I heard that last 3 words, I was rejoicing. Those are my favourite flavours. And my favourite sensation. ICY. It wasn’t on the poster and therefore not offered. Funny. Well, at least for the first time ever, I didn’t hear that corny American slanged phrase that usually goes,”One name-your-coffee-with-cream-or-not, with whipped cream!” being yelled after an order was made. Must be the illegal thing they got going there. I walked out with a special made illegal regular sized RM14.90 crushed ice with my favourite flavours. Made my way back then.
Bumming. It’s expensive … sometimes.
