I have taken the dive. Expensive dive, but I think it’ll be a good investment. The memories it will capture, the hearts the pictures will melt. Chewah.
I heard there was a retrenchment in the company that I almost joined. Out of the blue today, I called a college mate, just to catch up and he told me the bad news. Maybe he was underperforming, but with every and any job .. the thought of the possibility of retrenchment sends shivers down my spine.
I asked him,”What happened?” And his reply was that someone gave him a letter and told him that he didn’t need to come to work tomorrow.
Today, he was sitting at home … jobless. Scary man.
Will call him up tonight and check on him le.
On the other hand, I thank God for the job that He led me to, and it’s been great here in this company. I’ve been so blessed!
Having used the Kancil for a good .. hmm .. month or two .. it has proved to be one of the most cost saving vehicles I’ve owned.
Then again, this is the only car I’ve fully owned. My dad took RM2000 off me for it. Hah.
But in saying that, I’ve not been comfortable driving it, due to my stature. And the fact that I’ve got a whopping 70% reduction of cubic centimeters of engine capacity, and lost a good 100 horsepower or something. Hahaha. So .. to get ahead of jams and slow moving vehicles on the road, I push the car to the edge.
Ah, not as quah cheong as the one in the image.
Haha. Anyhows, my boss made known to the team I’m in (Pre-Sales) that we’ve gotta support the Penang, JB and Singapore offices, so I think there’ll be a lot of travelling this coming financial year. And I don’t think I’ll be travelling in my Kancil all over Malaysia, cause I’ll have back problems by the time I’m 30 years old.
So .. I’m praying for directions .. not Penang, JB .. or Singapore .. but .. on getting a car which I can travel in. Of course, it’ll be a bump in my budget for this year which .. I am really not wanting to touch. So .. Lord! Helps.
It’s Monday morning, in the office and I’m recovering. Sometimes (actually, almost all the time) I think I work harder during weekends than on weekdays.
