It’s so important to keep close to God. There’s just so many thing that we can avoid by keeping close to God. Like straying away from His will, making decisions that we know pleases the heart of God and keeping away from sin. It takes a conscious effort to be mindful of God and to recognize His presence and work around us because if not .. the natural tendency of humans to be selfish takes over. We then slip into our own introspective world and lose sight of God and His work.
I’ve always found that especially true during holiday seasons.
Here’s a song that I hope will speak to you as it has spoken to me. It’s by Sara Groves, called “How is it between us?” Enjoy.
I’ve heard so much of Tommy Emmanuel, but never have heard his music. I know there are some people who idolize him, worship him as the guitar god or something .. but not this skinny little guitarist.
But I am convinced. Check this video out. It’s amazing how the song as a whole just extends a soothing touch, reaches out to your emotions, caresses your feelings, and lullabies you to a state of ease.
Worth the watch.

No wonder I feel so tired in the morning, snoozing. Time to change to a more soothing alarm.
These past couple of weeks have been a time of discovery, particularly of the women kind. It’s interesting how women’s make-up is so different from men. The way they function, the way they think, the way they react to their circumstances and situations.
My own family is predominantlly male, and having spent more time with Elizabeth’s family which is predominantly female .. gave me a new perspective of family life. Women talk 3 times more than men, so having 66% of the family talk 300% more than the males in the family .. that’s quite .. fuh.
And it made me think about what God had in mind when He crafted women.

While I was online, chatting and trying out the new feature of MSN Messenger 7.0b that displays the song title and artist that’s playing on your iTunes.. the song “Magnificent” was softly playing in the background when I suddenly remembered something. This was a song that I was suppose to record on an MD for someone, but somehow, I couldn’t get a hold of it in time and record it. So I just thought I’d upload it and still get it across. This song has pulled me through the times when I couldn’t find myself. Times when I realize that I was in need and there was no one around to help me up. Times when I felt so alone, and there was no one to reach out my hand to, no one to call, no one to speak to, no one who would just put their arms around me to assure me that I belong to them. God has been there every single time to embrace me in His arms of love. The thought of it just overwhelms. He has never failed to encompass me with His love and His presence.. every time I was in need. Truly, He shall supply all my needs, according to His riches and glory. Even our needs for love.
Lord, I thank You for Your love that surpasses all understanding. Lord, I long to grasp how wide and long and high and deep Your love is, and to know it, that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. I may not really understand, Lord.. But well, it doesn’t say “surpasses all understanding” if it ain’t, right? So yeah, thank You for that infinite love. You are awesome. In Jesus name, Amen.

Spent time worshipping God this morning, and I am brought to remembrance, the anointing that I need in my life, to carry out the things that I do for Him. Without it, all that I do is in vain.
