Hey hey hey! Anyone having an extra prosperous new year with extra angpau’s? Ehehe. I could use some! Woohoo!
I was just pondering about a couple of things that we Chinese people do when it comes to this time of the Chinese calender year. Am gonna list down some of the things here, so that I can remember! Add on to the list if you will, ya? I don’t wanna forget some of these things!
1. House is cleaned before the New Year to arrive
- Well, I guess spring cleaning is always good! Plus, it’s better to have a clean house to usher people in for.. the reunion dinner.
2. Reunion Dinner
- A time when the whole family gets back together to makan and catch up!
3. Giving of angpau’s
- I don’t know when they normally give out angpau’s, but I think it’s on the 1st day of CNY.
4. Wearing of new clothes
- Wearing new clothes on the 1st day of CNY.
I guess, these are the few that I wanna keep? I don’t do those religious stuff.. and all.

Ah, here am I in Klang with my family, and my mom’s side relatives under one roof. It’s quite a big house, and it has the capacity to accommodate all of us. I’m glad to be here with my family again, after not seeing my mother and brother for 5-6 months, and about a month, my dad. They’re pretty much the same. I guess I’m the one who’s constantly changing. Hehe. Hairstyle, hair colour, dressing.. and such.
*went down to help my mother peel gingko.
hmm… I shall continue blogging later, as my two cousins are trying to sleep. So cute ler, they all. Kacau-ed them before they went to bed.

I was up at 0600 this morning. What an achievement!
My brother’s bunking with me for a few days. Sent him to the US Embassy just now. Thanks to Sean’s map, I was able to find it.
While I was driving, I realized that traffic in KL starts to build up by 0630. That’s like super early, wei! 99% of the time, I’ll still be sleeping. For those who are on holiday from Aus, what time do you get up? *tsktsktsk
Really need to spend time soaking in prayer. There are so many things that needs to be committed to the Lord.
1. Cheras Sedaya College Cell
Some of the leaders spoke to me on Wednesday, saying that it might just be a wee bit too early to start the Cell here in Cheras. There’s still a big need to soak Cheras in prayer. Best to get a good footing first, before launching!
2. F.A.N.
Friendship Appreciation Night’s coming on the 14th of February! Planning’s been okay. Just a bit slow in action ler. Ehehe. But prayer has been lacking in this area. Encouraged the F.A.N. Committee members to begin to sow in prayers for the event. Will prolly send an SMS later to re-encourage! Muahahahaha.
Hmm.. actually, only two major things ler. Eheheeh. But many many aspects!
Woohoo! Chinese New Year is coming! I can’t wait for the holidays to start. Hmm… For those who have been asking, I am NOT going back to Penang, my family and I are celebrating it in Klang with my mother’s side relatives. My dad plans to go back to Penang on the 10th of February. Although I really desire to go back to spend more time with my family, and to makan, I kinda need to be here to oversee some things. Well, in ministry… we serve the Lord, and earthly desires have to… take a back seat! [ earthly desire = makanmakanmakan! ]
Ah, it’s coming to 0800. Time to log off and seek God!
