without You, here in my life …
I looked back at my first year of work (which I didn’t elaborate here), and all I could see was traces of God’s leading and guidance in my life. How He saw me through my situations, even though they were not major ones that would shake a person up, nor were they too minor to make an impact on my life.
The song below speaks so much about what I’ve gone through this past one year, not only at work, but life as a whole. Though I have not walked on water, nor felt the waves beneath my feet, but at His word, I’ll receive His faith to walk on oceans deep.

It says that God meets us with faith when we want to have faith .. and when we receive God’s word, instruction .. we need faith to obey cause .. it’s hard. For those who find it hard to hear from God will find it even harder to LISTEN to God, because listening requires obedience, action, and sacrifice.

God has challenged me beyond what I think my calling encompasses. He has not only challenged, but already provided for it even, and how does that not give you faith to go?
And you know where it all started?
Obedience. That’s an entry for another day.

These past couple of weeks have been a time of discovery, particularly of the women kind. It’s interesting how women’s make-up is so different from men. The way they function, the way they think, the way they react to their circumstances and situations.
My own family is predominantlly male, and having spent more time with Elizabeth’s family which is predominantly female .. gave me a new perspective of family life. Women talk 3 times more than men, so having 66% of the family talk 300% more than the males in the family .. that’s quite .. fuh.
And it made me think about what God had in mind when He crafted women.

You know, it’s so easy to lose grip on life.
It only takes one slip, and next thing you know .. you’re sliding downhill.
Yesterday, I felt under the weather. Took the day off, and slipped. That subconsious abyss that exists deep in my soul consumed me whole, left me alone in the dark.
As I waded through the darkness of undealt frustrations I had buried in that abyss, I feel deeper. Deeper into frustrations with my own inability to achieve excellence, even though I strive and toil at, with all my heart, soul and strength. Loneliness overcame me, in areas that few are concerned about. Even fewer, address the issue and manhandles it by the neck.
Maybe I am not alone. Maybe I’ve narrowed my perspective and vision within the confines of my own abyss.
I slept, after getting off the phone with Elizabeth.
I awakened, and spent some time in quietness with God.
And then He reassured me.

In preparation for this weekend’s worship service, and practice tonight .. it’s been tough. It’s always tough. There’s always that fine line between trusting God, having faith in Him for things that you were unable to plan .. and sheer failure to plan proper.
When circumstance doesn’t allow you the luxury of time and strength to focus your intent and devotion to God and His will, what do you do? His will for your life, His will for His people, His Church .. do you allow all that to pass you by?
I cannot.
But to have faith, contradicts human reason. To NOT know what is ahead, yet trust God to bring it to pass is quite a feat. Of course, to some … living by faith is knowing that as they put in the effort in their work and jobs, the paycheck comes in at the end of the month. For others, not knowing if they have the next meal, and trusting God to provide is .. having faith.

I guess, with my small measure of faith .. I’m trusting God to carry out His will in the worship service this weekend.
Lord, assure me.

This song has pulled me through the times when I couldn’t find myself. Times when I realize that I was in need and there was no one around to help me up. Times when I felt so alone, and there was no one to reach out my hand to, no one to call, no one to speak to, no one who would just put their arms around me to assure me that I belong to them. God has been there every single time to embrace me in His arms of love. The thought of it just overwhelms. He has never failed to encompass me with His love and His presence.. every time I was in need. Truly, He shall supply all my needs, according to His riches and glory. Even our needs for love.
Lord, I thank You for Your love that surpasses all understanding. Lord, I long to grasp how wide and long and high and deep Your love is, and to know it, that I may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. I may not really understand, Lord.. But well, it doesn’t say “surpasses all understanding” if it ain’t, right? So yeah, thank You for that infinite love. You are awesome. In Jesus name, Amen.

Spent time worshipping God this morning, and I am brought to remembrance, the anointing that I need in my life, to carry out the things that I do for Him. Without it, all that I do is in vain. But if the Lord’s anointing is upon me [ and/or you ], He is doing His work through you and I. I need to learn about His anointing.
